BV Bulldogs, we welcome you to the 2023-24 school year!

PTA supports critical academic needs, is an active voice on decisions that impact your child’s health, safety and quality of education, and builds a stronger, more inclusive school community.

Welcome to Step 2 of your School Registration...

  • Step 2 - Create and/or update your family's account with the school's strategic non-profit funding partner the Buena Vista Elementary PTAso you can stay informed of school activities and news. Once logged in, update your student’s information in the school directory, which is a tool only BV families can access. Your information will not be shared with third parties and you can select the information to be shared in the directory.  You can also subscribe to school news email lists, indicate your interest in volunteer opportunities, and make a donation to the PTA to support student achievement, social emotional support, teacher appreciation, family involvement, diversity and equity awareness, teacher supplies, and help to ensure equitable access for all students to school supplies, field trips and more.

Please believe us when we say that the best way to stay informed about school and district events is to go through this process and opt into the Monthly E-News.  Start now, it won't take long.

Be sure to "Like" and "Follow" our Buena Vista Elementary PTA Facebook page too

so you can receive alerts on all PTA news and events.

All purchases and donations are optional and can be made either online using a credit card, or by check made out to Buena Vista PTA (do not make it out to the school please) and mail it to Buena Vista Elementary School 2355 San Juan Ave, Walnut Creek, CA 94597.  If you wish to pay in cash please bring to the BV School Office during regular business hours 8AM-3PM.

Join us at our PTA Meetings, the second Tuesday of each month (no December or May) in the evenings. More information on this will be sent in the E-News as to time and location. All can attend but only PTA Members can vote.

We appreciate your consideration of supporting collaborative fundraising through the Walnut Creek Education Foundation and joining BV PTA.

Since 1983, Buena Vista and our seven Walnut Creek public schools have relied on parent donations to the Walnut Creek Education Foundation TK-12 (WCEF) to ensure the education your child receives goes beyond what the state funds. Sadly, state funding does not cover the cost of art, music, science, library, and much more.

It’s up to us. And it won’t happen without your support.

PLEASE SUPPORT BOTH OUR BV PTA AND WCEF TK-12

When you donate to the Walnut Creek Education Foundation (WCEF) and by joining the Buena Vista PTA you're supporting our school! Your donations to WCEF are vital to enhance your child's education beyond what the state funds.

California ranks 33rd in the country in per student funding resulting in only a basic education. The programs, teachers, and classes that make BV special, including weekly art, music, science lab, library, and more, are made possible through donations to WCEF.

Our BV PTA plays a crucial role in building community, organizing events, and supporting our exceptional teachers and staff and is part of a larger state association. To maintain these valuable programs and services, we kindly request families to contribute to both WCEF and the BV PTA this year.

The suggested donation to meet our 2023-24 goal is $825 per child to WCEF and $150 per child to our PTA. However, what matters most is a united community coming together to give and volunteer whatever we can.

To learn more about WCEF, visit wcefk12.org or email contact@wcefk12.org

WCEF TK-12 is a non-profit 501(c)(3) federal tax ID #94-2915151.
